About our Stevia sweeteners

  • Do the Nevella stevia products contain allergens?

    • Our Nevella stevia products do not contain any no allergens such as e.g. potato starch, soy, nuts, or similar. The only exception is our Nevella stevia tablets, which contain lactose.

    • Is Nevella Stevia gluten free?

      • All our Nevella Stevia products are gluten free

      • Why is there maltodextrin in the Nevella Stevia powder?

        • Stevia extract (Steviol glycosides) is 200 to 300 times more sweet as normal household sugar. To develop a product with a similar sweetness as household sugar, the stevia plant extract is mixed with a carrier; eg. maltodextin. Only in this way, we can create the optimal dosage.

        • Can Nevella Stevia be used by children?

          • Yes, the Stevia use in our Nevella products is extracted from the Stevia leaf. This natural origin is not addictive. Therefor are our Nevella Stevia products suitable for children

          • Are the Nevella Stevia products suitable for vegans?

            • Our Nevella stevia products are free of animal ingredients. Only our Nevella Stevia tablets are not vegan.

            • Is Nevella Stevia free of lactose?

              • Except from the Nevella Stevia tablets, all our Nevella Stevia products are lactose-free. Note: The products are manufactured in a factory, where also lactose is processed. There could always be some traces in the products.

              • Can I use Nevella Stevia for baking?

                • Yes, Basically you can replace the amount of normal household sugar in cooking and baking recipes through Nevella Stevia sweetener. Each Nevella Stevia product has its own measurement of replacing sugar, due to its sweetness. The measurement you will find on the product label. Of course individually, you can vary the desired sweetness to taste. Our Nevella stevia powder products are heat stable up to 200 ° C. At higher temperatures, the product will lose its sweetness. The Steviol glycosides we use for our products ar of the highest quality, also known as REB A.

  • Why does one teaspoon of Nevella Original sweetener powder equals a teaspoon of sugar?

    • The Nevella Original powder is much lighter than ordinary table sugar. The mixture is adjusted so that 1 teaspoon Nevella Original powder of 0.5 g and only about 2 kilocalories equals the sweetness of a teaspoon of sugar with 5 g and approximately 20 kilo-calories. Basically, you can easily replace the amount of normal household sugar by Nevella Original powder by dividing the amount of household sugar by 10 when reading a recipe.
